Blueberry 'Sierra'

Blueberry Sierra, also known as Vaccinium Corymbosum, is a cold hardy variety of blueberry plant. These fruit plants have deciduous, green foliage which turns fiery orange and red in autumn, before dying off each winter. In spring, when leaves return, small, bell-shaped, white flowers bloom before a plentiful crop of berries begins to ripen throughout the midsummer months, sometimes continuing into September.

This variety of blueberry plant produces deep blue berries which are beautifully sweet and flavoursome and is perfect for growing in colder climates due to its hardiness. Blueberries are packed with vitamins and antioxidants, and they are fabulous for making preserves, adding to muffins and pies or for adding to pancakes. Blueberry plants will grow best in moist, well-drained, acidic soil planted beside another blueberry plant to increase pollination.
