Campsis 'Madame Galen'

Campsis tagliabuana 'Madame Galen' is a unique, vigorous, deciduous climber with an exotic look, despite being relatively easy to grow in the UK. Mid-green, shiny, pinnate leaves are accompanied in the late summer months by striking reddish-orange, trumpet shaped flowers with yellow throats, appearing in clusters on twining, woody stems. Attractive seed pods follow the flowers through late autumn.

Growing to an ultimate height of 8-12m and an ultimate spread of 2.5-4m, Campsis tagliabuana 'Madame Galen' is perfect for covering any unsightly areas in the garden thanks to its climbing, creeping habit, and will also attract bees and butterflies. The plant will lose its leaves over the winter months and can be pruned back in late winter or early spring, ready for new spring foliage.
