Helleborus Niger, more commonly known as the Christmas Rose plant, are outdoor, winter flowering plants with deep green, leathery foliage which remains for most of the year. In mid-winter, around January, beautiful, large, white flowers begin to bloom and continue until late winter or early spring.
These perennial plants will grow best in moist, well-drained soil in a partially shaded spot in the garden. They are perfect for planting in beds and borders, among other garden shrubs and roses, to add interest over the winter period, although they would look equally fabulous planted alone in a plant pot or container.
